AI potential — Viticulture

The vineyard is the part of the wine value chain where artificial intelligence has the clearest near-term leverage. Multispectral and hyperspectral imagery from satellites and drones, combined with on-vine sensors, already produces more data than a human team can read; the near-term potential lies in turning that stream into decisions — block-level irrigation calls, early-warning maps for downy and powdery mildew, yield forecasts that survive a heat spike, and adaptation strategies for vineyards whose historical climate envelope is shifting under them.

This page will collect structured analyses of those opportunities — what is technically plausible, what is economically plausible, and what is blocked by the realities of farming at scale.

Detailed entries are coming soon.
